Dive into the Blue Earth! Be a Diver!

Marine Diving Fair, one of Asia’s largest diving events, is held every April at Sunshine City in Tokyo. Thanks to the continued support of our visitors, the event will celebrate its 34th edition next year.

For the 34th Marine Diving Fair 2026, we are pleased to announce that two of Japan’s most renowned photographers—underwater photographer Ikuo Nakamura and nature photographer Junji Takasago—have been appointed as official navigators!
Following Marine Diving Fair 2025, this powerful navigator duo will return once again.

Underwater photographer Ikuo Nakamura became a freelance photographer in 1976 and has continued to document Tokyo Bay as his life’s work. He gained widespread attention with his 1987 photo book Underwater Face Expo. In 2024, he released Grand Underwater Face Expo and held a series of exhibitions across Japan from 2024 to 2025. His photo exhibition Goshikinuma Lake Group was also well received in May this year. Known for his engaging talks filled with love and reverence for the ocean, he is in high demand as a lecturer and serves as a judge for numerous photography contests.

Nature photographer Junji Takasago began his career as a photographer for a diving magazine. After going freelance in 1989, he has traveled worldwide—from the tropics to polar regions—photographing not only the ocean but also rainbows, landscapes, starry skies, and wildlife, with the entire Earth as his field. In 2022, he won the Grand Prize in the Natural Art category at Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2022, regarded as the world’s most prestigious nature photography competition. He has held invited exhibitions in Paris and is internationally acclaimed. He has published many books and made numerous appearances on television and radio, and currently serves as a Miyagi Kizuna Ambassador and Vice Representative Director of the Oceanic Wildlife Society (OWS), an environmental NPO.

Marine Diving Fair 2026, guided by these two distinguished photographers, will be held from Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Sunshine City Bunka Kaikan, 2nd Floor (Hall D) in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Please look forward to it!
