The 34th Marine Diving Fair 2026 will be held from Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5 at the 2nd Floor of the Cultural Hall, Sunshine City, Ikebukuro. The Tokyo Islands Tourism Federation, Ogasawara Village Tourism Bureau will exhibit “Ogasawara Islands, a World Natural Heritage Site” at the venue.
The Ogasawara Islands, floating in the Pacific Ocean, are located about 1,000 km south of Tokyo and can be reached by a regular ferry service that takes approximately 24 hours. Due to the ship schedule, a minimum of six days is required for a round trip from Tokyo. Nevertheless, many tourists and divers make the journey in search of the Bonin Blue waters that await them there.
The Ogasawara Islands have never been connected to any continent, and their unique natural environment and ecosystem remain strongly preserved to this day. Both on land and underwater, the islands are home to many endemic species and are known as one of Japan’s most biodiverse regions.
In the surrounding waters live species such as the sand tiger shark and the Yūzen angelfish, which are rarely seen elsewhere in Japan, making the islands a dream destination for divers. In winter, humpback whales migrate through the area, while in summer, sperm whales can be seen, making whale watching another popular activity.
We warmly invite you to visit our booth and discover the natural beauty and marine attractions of the Ogasawara Islands.
