Favorite Photos Taken in Ishigaki Island
Visitor Review
from the guest of Ishigaki Island’s local dive shop Prime Scuba Ishigaki
Nacho Villoslada from Spain shared some of his favorite photos taken in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa 🙂
Manta Ray
“I think manta ray is the main attraction of Ishigaki. This picture was taken at ‘Manta City Point’. I like the very respectful way of how people interact in this diving point. I have been there five times in two different years, and I was lucky enough to find mantas every time. The way you feel when they pass over you is indescribable.“
Guitar Shark
“This is a Guitar Shark, the only one I have ever seen. It was taken in ‘Yonara Channel’. The conditions must be perfect to dive there, because of the strong currents. On this same dive we saw a white tip reef shark and two mantas. The people of the diving center were able to find the perfect moment between the tides.”
Corals
“One of the things that I like most about Ishigaki is the endless variety of corals that you can find there, mostly hard corals. ‘Nagura Bay’ is a very special place.”
Whip Coral Shrimp
“Although Ishigaki is famous for the mantas, you can also find a wide variety of small staff, like this whip coral shrimp, or a lot of nudibranchs. The picture was taken in ‘Osaki Lionfish Palace’.”
Thank you Nacho for sharing your amazing photos!
